A great day indeed!

I had the pleasure of being a guest author at “A Little Something..” in Layton (located in the Davis Medical Center 1600 Antelope Drive). I was in the midst of cupcakes everywhere… over 800 mini cupcakes to be more exact. Yes, I said 800! Mary Murphy, her mother and her sister made them in honor of the signing. They were really good, BTW. Gingerbread Cookie, Orange Poppyseed, Candy Cane, Chocolate Mayonnaise… all so yummy and all around me! We sold a lot of books too.

Mary has so many friends! Everyone who came into the store loved being there, and there was a constant flow of people for 3 hours! I love watching people… a favorite past time, and everyone loves Mary too! I met many new friends and had a great time! The products in Mary’s store, A Little Something were high quality, something for everyone. From adorable purses, to a good selection of Melissa & Doug toys, from jewelry to flowers. I will be visiting again…

Of course I couldn’t leave empty handed. That’s the only problem with going to great stores like A Little Something. I shop while I sign books. I love to multi-task. All I can say, is that my son will probably have a heart attack Christmas morning thanks to Mary and her great selection of large animals. I will post pics of his face, I know it will be a hit!

Thanks to Mary, her daughter Katie and the many volunteers that made my day extraordinary! I loved every minute and can’t wait to meet again soon.

What are you baking this weekend? I am preparing for my first “wedding cupcakes” with a tasting for the bride and groom. They have requested Vanilla Bean (new recipe) with Cream Cheese Frosting, White Chocolate Strawberry with White Chocolate Buttercream, and Black Forest with Chocolate Ganache. Sounds good, doesn’t it! I am off to the store to buy the ingredients.

Happy Baking!
