First, I want to say thank you to all who entered the best cookie contest. I made every and tasted every recipe submitted…. which contributed to gaining a whopping 7 lbs. in the last 3 weeks. Now I that I have a break from baking so many cupcakes and cookies, I should be able to shake off that extra weight. I guess it’s one of the draw back of writing cookbooks. I will be watching the Biggest Loser tonight and while doing so, I will be doing my pilates and weights. It will motivate me to be a little better in the exercise department. And now that all the hundreds of cookies are out of my house, I will be able not to eat them for breakfast because they are “oatmeal” or “fruit” or “vegetable” filled. 🙂
The 3 finalists are:
Snickerdoodles in-a-hurry by Stephanie Roach
Alfajores by Juliana Alonso Dorola
grandma’s Carrot Cookies by Trish Lewis
The 2 runner’s up will each have their recipe posted on this blog, along with their photo and the cookie photo…. and the 1st place winner will receive their recipe and photos in my new cookie book, 101 Gourmet Cookies for Everyone (released in October 2010!).
Each of these recipes were amazing. Truly the best of the best. Delicious, creative, and easy. Good job ladies!
Drum roll please…….. I have been so anxious for this announcement, I can hardly stand it!
3rd place- Grandma’s Carrot Cookies by Trish Lewis
