I have had many events to do, sometime 3 and 4 a week- and thanks to my husband, parents and my mother-in-law, great friends, I have been able to do just that! I have been blessed beyond measure, and I wouldn't have changed this for anything.
This week, Cedar Fort hosted an Authors of Excellence dinner at the Springville Art Museum. First, the museum is amazing, known throughout the country and world for that matter with a breathtaking collection of all kinds of art. A great place for a special event like this one.
And since hubby is traveling in Seattle on business, I asked my best friend Maryann(a.k.a. Ethel) to go with me. I'll take any excuse I can get to dress up, and it was fun. The dinner was great- the parmesan rolls my favorite... and there were 4 awards given that night to authors who had books released in 2009.
Bestseller- Shattered Silence by Melissa G. Moore & M. Bridget Cook
Best Fiction- The Adventures of Hashbrown Winters by Frank L. Cole
Best Non-Fiction- Agent Bishop by Mike McPheters
Best Marketing- 101 Gourmet Cupcakes in 10 Minutes by Wendy Paul
I am honored to have received this award, after all my hard work, and I will continue to work hard... baking and creating new recipes. Really, I love it- I just need to get a softer kitchen rug to stand on while I bake.
