A book nightmare

I have been plagued again with book nightmares. This time, it involves the cookie book, President Obama, and pirates. It plays in my mind over and over until morning, and I am not getting very much sleep.

You see, my books are coming across the pacific ocean, in a huge ship- slowly, but surely they will make it here in time for the book release party. And I will be happy, and sleep peacefully once again.

As they are coming slowly, this large ship is attacked by pirates… I’d like to think they are as good looking as Johnny and Olrando, but sadly, they are not. Here is a great pic of the latter for a visual of my nightmare.

Anyhow, the ship is attacked by pirates, and when President Obama learns this, he is ready to help, take action and get my books released… after all his ratings are not so good these days, and he would like some good press. Cookies make everyone happy- including him.

So after doing research on who I am, what I do, and the fact that I didn’t vote for him, he changes his mind. He does not want anything to do with my books, the pirates, or making thousands of people happy with cookies!

Now my books are stranded, burned and thrown into the pacific ocean- and I wake up. There you have it. Not too glamorous, but funny. Thought I’d share. I can rest now because the books have arrived Cedar Fort Publishing, safe and sound.

Happy Baking!

  1. What fun to read.

I am struggling with which of your recipes to start with. What a fantastic blog.

I wish you the best of luck on your new book. I certainly hope, I will get it on my shelf so I can indulge.

  2. If you are asking me which recipe I’d start with, it would be the Key Lime Pie- but I’d also consider the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, the Root Beer Float, or the Black Forest… really its too hard to choose. 🙂 Let me know which one you start with?
