Here’s a recipe- black vs. white. Warewolf vs. Vampire. These vegan black and white cookies have it all- it’s kinda ironic that they are vegan too…. haha!

Black & White Crisps

These little black and white cookies are so fantastic and look great on a party or
holiday platter.

1 pkg. instant yeast
1/2 cup soy milk (warm)
½ cup margarine
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon lemon extract
1 cup agave nectar
3 cups flour
½ teaspoon salt

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Add the yeast to the warm milk and let stand for 5
minutes to proof. Meanwhile, cream together the margarine, extracts and agave
nectar. Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, and mix until barely combined.
Drop by small cookie scoop onto a oiled or sprayed cookie sheet. Press down on
cookie with a glass to ½ inch thickness. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges of
cookie are golden. Remove from oven and cool completely. Frost with black and
white frosting.

White frosting
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
½ teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon lemon juice
1 ¼ cup powdered sugar

Whisk together until no lumps appear. Frost ½ cookie with a butter knife, making a
line down the middle.

Black frosting

1 tablespoon light corn syrup
¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
¾ to 1 cup powdered sugar

Melt chocolate chips and stir in cocoa. Add rest of ingredients and whisk until all
lumps disappear. Frost remaining ½ of cookie with a butter knife.

  1. OK, because I am more wolf than vampire can, can I use regular milk?

  2. Yes, you certainly can.
