My modeling debut…

I was watching Good Things Utah and heard a call out for viewers- those plus size women who need help finding good denim. Well, I did what I’ve always wanted to do. Model. Another quest on my bucket list. First I needed to find a full-length picture of myself. That was more difficult than I thought. Not very many to chose from. Grrr…… But I need help finding the right jean and decided to take a chance and email Alicia from Chic on a Shoestring– Guess what? I was picked! I felt lucky to have been chosen with 3 other great women to model denim from Lane Bryant.

First of all, can I just say how great Alicia is. She is so friendly and made me feel comfortable- beacuse let’s face it, finding a great pair of jeans is almost as painful as childbirth. Well, maybe not really. But it’s not on my #1 list of things I love. Until now.

With my body- strait through the waist and hips, I need a strait leg jean. Anything like a boot cut or wide leg (which is in my closet now) will make me look bigger than I already am- and I don’t want that to happen. I usually find a pair of jeans that fit my waist, but are baggy and bluky through my hips and thighs. Such a problem.

So, after trying on oodles of jeans in sizes and shapes, Alicia brought me the The Right Fit strait leg (Yellow coded tag at Lane Bryant). Are you sure jeans are suppose to be this snug? Alicia reassured me that yes, jeans really are suppose to be snug. NOT tight. But snug. These strait leg jeans are snug, but will stretch out as you wear them before you wash them. I hate having to pull my jeans up all day long…. and I know you do too. Even though these jeans are snug, they are surprisingly comfy. I can move in them, and I am confident when I wear them. What more could you ask for?

Here’s a link to view the segment….. and if you are quick and local- be sure to tune in to the end. There is another call out for viewers- I urge you to jump at the chance to shop with Alicia- I’m so glad that I did.

  1. I saw you and you were awesome!! You look really good! I hate jean shopping as well. You go girl. Get that bucket list done. I don’t know how you stay so busy and on top of things. I’m just trying to get my prego brain back so I can remember where I’ve been!! Fall boutique this year??!! Let me know.

  2. Jennifer- when would I do a fall boutique? I think I’ll pass for the first time in 6 years- sad. I forget things all the time- and I’m not prego. Just trying to have fun even though life is super busy. Miss you!

    Thank you Christina!
