Fried Peanut Butter and Jelly- oh, yes!

So basically, this recipe is pure evil. I will tell you straight forward evil. So if you plan on making this anytime soon, beware- it’s addicting. So make sure you have some inner strength and will power. Temptation is of the devil. The recipe is so easy, you’ll practically have it memorized. Simple ingredients, simple steps turn this typical average lunch into a decadent dessert.

Fried PB &J

1 Loaf pound cake
Peanut butter
Jelly (I loved the raspberry)
Medium saute pan
Vanilla ice cream

First, the pound cake.

Slice into 12 slices.

Spread one side with peanut butter, about 2 tbsp. Then spread 1 tbsp. of jelly on top. Place another slice of pound cake on top.  This makes your sandwich.

Add 2 tbsp. of butter to your saute pan- over medium heat. Place your PB&J sandwich in the pan. It will sizzle and start to smell like warm peanut butter.

But take caution. If your pan it too hot, it will get too dark. Like this poor soul. That ended up in the garbage.

But my second attempt was perfection.

Your heart will sing! Your mouth will water. You will be smiling from ear to ear.

And to make it even better, top it with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream.

Serve warm. Makes 6 small servings.

Enough preaching for one post.
