It’s a simple as one, two, three…. and some spray paint, plates, small vases, E6000, or epoxy glue.
I would highly recommend you prime your plates and small vases before you paint. This allows the paint to adhere better. It’s an extra step, but well worth it.
Then spray your plates, bottom sides first. Allowing the plates to dry to the touch between each coat. I did 3 coats of color, with one coat of primer.
Then, using the epoxy, or E6000- adhere your plates and vases together. I love that there is a design to the vases, and the plates had character. It’s makes your finished project that much better. Once your paint is dry, you can spray with a clear coat of polyurethane.
To wash your cake plate- use a warm wash cloth cloth with gentle dish soap, then wipe clean and then dry.
I wish I had a better picture of the finished product…. but here they are on my desk, ready to be used at the next book signing- where often times I bring samples.
Happy painting & happy baking!
