I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream and giveaway! Part 1

It may be cold outside, but believe me, it's been ice cream season around my house.

Here are a few shots from the crazy days leading up to Marielle Hayes flying in on a jet plane to take the photos.

I started collecting the goodies, err bowls and plates months in advance. I had boxes storing them up until the photo shoot. I even went and raided my mother's cabinets and collected another dozen bowls and goodies to display the ice cream in.

I love the green pot. It was my favorite. But the banana bowls, they were my grandmothers'. Super special to include them in the pictures.

This was all the groceries for the photo shoot, minus the few ingredients I sent my husband to the store for the morning of. Yes, there are 13 quarts of heavy cream on my counter.... I bought every quart my grocery store had on hand. I only ended up with 1 pint left. Great calculations on my part.

The Maple Bacon. Possibly my favorite. So perfect. Salty and sweet.

Making the ice cream- at one point, I had 12  ice cream machines going at one time in my kitchen. I was deaf for approx. 3 days following. I didn't hear the phone ring, my kids calling my name or the doorbell.

The red velvet. I have to make room for this one. But I really want it in the book. So yummy!

And this is part of the 14 ice cream machines (I own only one of them) that I borrowed for the event. Thank you to all who brought them by, and allowed me to use them. I couldn't have done this without you!

P.S. I still have 3 machines in my living room, and I promise I'll bring them by A.S.A.P.

P.P.S. If you can guess how many recipes (ice creams, ice cream pies, cakes, milkshakes and toppings) I ended up creating for the photo shoot, you can win this great ice cream scoop, just like the ones I use and love. One entry per person, and you must provide a US address for shipping. Just leave your answer below in the comments. First correct answer wins- Good luck!

Happy Creating!

You almost ran out of tablespace :-). This is my first visit to your blog, so I took sometime to browse through your earlier posts. I'm so glad I did that. I really like the food and recipes you share with your readers and I'll definitely be back. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary

I enjoyed your columns about the ice cream making. My grandson and I are making an ice rink on the porch with a plastic serving tray and water. It is about zero degrees here in Wisconsin. My guess is: 63

And I'll email you my address if I win
