It’s craft time! Winter Snowball Wreath

January can be so boring- after you take down your Christmas and holiday decor. The winter blues set in. It’s cold, snowy (sometimes) and plain miserable. I decided this year to decorate for January- with glitter and snowflakes… snowballs and lots of candles.

It’s totally changed my outlook for the month- at least until Valentine’s Day comes along.

The wreath turned out cute. I found some of the glittery and shiny balls in the Christmas clearance section, and the yarn and foam balls I had around the house. Just had to get a few more colors- greys, browns, whites. Think off whites for your palate. I even got adventurous with the large diamonds. But it sparkles just the way I wanted it.

I wrapped the wreath in grey ribbon, securing it with hot glue as I went. Then started randomly placing the balls, until I got the desired fullness and shape I wanted. You could even glue some snowflakes on top if you wanted to.

I love it!

Happy Crafting!

  1. Awesome!
I usually just leave up my snowflake wreath made of jingle bells for January, but this is much prettier.
