I’m so excited to introduce to you, Rachelle Christensen’s newest novel- Caller ID. If you remember, I did a giveaway for her back in March of 2010. Go here for a sneak peak of the book(s)- you can read the first chapter for Caller ID and Wrong Number. Fantastic!

About the book:
When twenty-three-year-old Courtney Beckham, the privileged daughter of a highly successful land developer, is abducted in the mountains near her home, FBI Agent Jason Edwards investigates the ten-million-dollar ransom and turns up more than just a kidnapping crime.

And  when Courtney catches a glimpse of the caller ID in her kidnapper’s home, what she sees sends ice through her veins. even is she escapes her captors, something more dangerous lies ahead.

I had just a few questions for Rachelle- some food related of course….

Wendy: What is your favorite treat?
Rachelle: I love to top a graham cracker with creamy peanut butter, Dove dark chocolate, and pecans. When I get a sweet craving, I usually have that along with a glass of milk and half a banana. I know I’m weird, but seriously, it hits the spot every time!

Wendy:
(Even though she didn’t say cupcakes, cookies, or cake bites, or ice cream, I still love her.) Who is your favorite character in Caller ID and why?

Rachelle: Courtney. She’s strong, yet vulnerable. She has weaknesses and it was fun to watch her grow throughout the process of writing the book.

Wendy: What other writing projects do you have coming up?
Rachelle: I just finished writing/editing book one of a new “Wedding Planner Mystery” series. I had so much fun writing this novel and getting to know the characters. The title is Diamond Rings are Deadly Things and it’s set in Sun Valley, Idaho near where I grew up.

I just received my copy of Caller ID– and I am so happy to read it ( I placed it on the top of my to be read stack). I’ll be sure to post a review as soon as I’m done.

So what’s even better, Rachelle is hosting a contest.  Here’s what she says-

“To celebrate the release of my second suspense novel, CALLER ID, I am hosting a contest for a new Ultra Flip Video Camcorder (4GB memory, Records 120 minutes Value $149.99) and other great prizes. You can enter between now and April 14, 2012. “

Go here to visit her contest page to find out all the details. The winner will be announced April 16, 2012.

Leave a comment on this post- and you will be entered to win….

Here’s the book trailer too.

Happy Baking! Happy Reading!
