Exactly 45 hours after I returned home NYC, I was headed to Montana with dear friend to have some much needed quiet R & R.
I slept, ate, slept, and wrote many a new recipes for the latest project. I saw a lot of wildlife including this mama deer- laboring in the garden for hours before the storm came and she went into the brush to deliver her fawn.
And we did make time for Mission General Store- an amish ran store in the small community. It’s my baker’s paradise.
Everything I could possibly want or need to bake goodies.
Our favorite peach salsa- we’ve already served it with omelets for breakfast twice.
How do you like those sprinkles? Every size, shape and color. Even cow sprinkles.
The front sign, laying on the side of the store. Why? I don’t have a clue.
If you look closely, you can see where I was at. The town of St. Ignatius- not like New York City at all- and that’s a good thing. I love the country.
That’s me- next to antlers… lots of antlers.
Mission Creek- running hard and fast. It’s starting to warm up.
Beautiful wildflowers- it’s really a weed once we got closer to investigate.
I had a wonderful time and I loved hearing myself think- even thought the phone rang every 5 minutes… one of the kids was always calling. 🙂
