It’s a beautiful morning here in 101 Gourmet Cupcake Land! I have had sweet dreams of cupcakes all night long. Chocolate ones, fruity ones, creamy ones and everything in between. I don’t usually seem to dream about 101 Gourmet Cupcakes, but as I was getting ready for bed, I learned that the local NBC station wants me to appear on their morning show, Studio 5, on September 3rd! What an honor! It seems as though 101 Gourmet Cupcakes is a hit, and for me this has been an incredible journey. I am grateful for this opportunity to share these great recipes with you all. As I was thinking of which cupcake recipe to share with you today and what pics to post, I think I willl share the KEY LIME PIE cupcake recipe (at the bottom of this page). 101 Gourmet Cupcakes is all about fast, easy and fresh from your local bakery taste. I want to hear from you once you have made the KEY LIME PIE cupcakes. Let me know what you think….. It has become a favorite at our home. Happy Baking today!
Well, let’s just say that all 252 cupcakes were eaten and not a crumb was left on any table! The night was a success. I was able to talk about the book and meet some wonderful book store owners from across the country. The food was delicious and as you can see, the display was adorable. CUPCAKES were literally everywhere! The most popular question I was asked was, “What is your favorite cupcake?” Well, I have to say that is like asking me, ” Which child is your favorite?” They are all my favorite! Each one is so special and unique. A delicious masterpiece to taste and to bake. The book will be released officially on September 1, 2009. Be sure to pre-order your copy today or come see me at a book signing. I’ll keep you posted on all that information! Meanwhile, happy baking!
Well, let’s just say that all 252 cupcakes were eaten, and not a crumb was left on any table! All the bookstore owners loved the cupcakes. I was able to meet some wonderful people from around the country and locally. I was honored to be there.
My talented and wonderful sister-in-law Debbie made these adorable cupcake placemats and apron in honor of my book! She is currently president of the Utah Valley Quilt Guild, so when I say they are professional and detailed, they really are. I love them! I will put them on display tomorrow night for the dinner with Cedar Fort. I am proud to have more than one masterpiece Debbie has created in my home. THANK YOU Debbie for giving me something to treasure forever. And THANK YOU Michael (Debbie’s husband) for sewing on the cherries and leaves on the top of every placemat. You have a talent in sewing also. We all enjoyed your visit.
101 Gourmet Cupcakes in 10 Minutes will be released any day now. I am nervous and excited about this major event, trying to keep myself busy, which has been easy considering we are at the end of summer. I have been baking and preparing 200+ cupcakes for Cedar Fort’s (my publisher) annual buyers dinner and week long event. 101 Gourmet Cupcakes in providing the dessert- cupcakes of course! And I was asked to be a presenter at the event. So I get 5 minutes of undivided (hopefully) attention to talk about one of my favorite things, cupcakes. I am honored to be among the “chosen” to be there that night. Brian is my guest- he’s actually excited too! Even more when he learned he doesn’t have to wear a suit. ( I love you sweetie!) So please pray the force will be with me as I embark on this journey, especially as I begin to decorate these little cakes- that they will look adorable, taste incredible, and wow everyone in the room!
P.S. I have made, Chocolate Raspberry Trifle w/ Chocolate Ganache, Harvest Pumpkin with Cream Cheese Frosting, Key Lime Pie w/ Whipped Cream and Nanaimo Brownie. Is your mouth watering? Yumm…
101 Gourmet Cupcakes in 10 Minutes will be released within a matter of days now. My excitement and nerves are about equal, but to me this is already a great sucess.
Call me crazy, but I never though I’d do this. Have a blog. Is there time for that? Well, I’m about to find out.
